- What are your rates?
- It all depends on what the repair will involve, but in general we charge $115 for the first hour of service and then the rate drops down to $85/hr after that first hour. Most computer repairs only take about an hour to fix.
- Can I bring my computer to you?
- For your convenience, EZ Computers is a full service onsite repair company which means we come to you. Save yourself the hassle and gas money to unplug your computer and bring it to us. If for some reason the computer cannot be worked on at your residence you can schedule to have one of our friendly technicians pick it up and repair it off site.
- Can you service my brand of computer?
- EZ Computers is certified to repair all computer brands, makes, models and year.
- Are your technicians certified?
- All EZ Computers technicians, trainers and website developers undergo an extensive background check and are A+ certified or hold a comparable certification in their area of expertise.
- What are your accepted methods of payments?
- You can pay for your service with cash, credit, a bank issued check card, or your PayPal account. EZ Computers no longer accepts personal checks.
- Do you sell computers?
- EZ Computers can build you a custom computer, desktop or laptop, tailored to your computer needs for less than retail price. We do not sell off-the-shelf computers nor are we a retail shop.
- Do you buy computers or parts?
- We do not, however if you have a computer or parts you’d like to donate, EZ Computers can pick up and recycle your old equipment in an eco-friendly manner.
- What happens if my computer needs a part?
- Our on-site technicians have most common parts on hand for service calls. If your computer needs a more specific part, one can be ordered during your service and installed in a timely manner with a follow-up visit. We are not a retail parts dealer.
- My laptop power cord is stripped/has a loose connection. Can this be fixed?
- This is a common problem with most laptop AC adapters. The power jack becomes worn and can cause charging issues for your laptop. We can try to reconnect the power jack to the board inside the computer but we usually advise our customers that this is only a temporary fix. Re-soldering a power jack has a limited lifetime and may not be the most cost effective solution. Please call us with further details about your power issues so we can discuss some options with you.
- I spilled a beverage on my laptop, what should I do?
- Turn the computer off immediately. The greatest damage from a liquid being spilled on computer components is due to short-outs. Keep the computer off. Depending on the type of liquid that was spilled, there is a possibility we can repair it. Please give us a call so we can determine the next step for you.
- How soon can a technician come out to me?
- Generally an on-site service can be scheduled within 24 hours of your call. If you need a same-day emergency service, we have appointments available immediately for an additional fee.
- What are your hours of operation?
- Our friendly receptionist is waiting to take your call 24 hours a day! Our appointment hours are between 11 AM – 6 PM. Emergency hours are available at all other times for an additional fee.
